We have so many minutes of favor that pugs are going into FOW/UW literally every second. Trust me soon ecto and rare drops will be merch crap (not like they already aren't.)
Sure, I am all up for more people being able to afford obsidian, but the idea of ecto being under 1k gives me a shudder, and it will be. Ecto is the best judge of the economy and if it is low the ecomy is low. Preferably I would like a few days with no drops in UW because people will be buying ecto and shard from people and material traders rather than farming it.
Your thoughts.

P.S-I know that this is never going to happen, just want your thoughts.

No, cheaper ecto's/shards makes me happy. Still wouldnt buy them until they're 100g/ea though :P

Fortunately there is a large ecto/shard "gold" sink in the form of obsidian armor and more recently chaos gloves. Which helps to stabilise.

IMO they need to make it one minute of favour earned for each max title.

Ectos droped to 5K when the loot nerf was introduced, largely as ecto farming became the only game in town for most players. We have had a year of that and ectos are still 5K, we have had global favor for a long time and ectos are still 5K.

So where is the evidence that ectos will become merchant trash? There isn't any, not one jot. Sure a lot of the other stuff is cheaper now, they are very old skins, it happens to all skins, you could cut the drop rates and it wouldn't make a difference to their price, the demand isn't there as it used to be.

What they need to do is make other elite areas more open and accessible, not attempt to kill one of the more popular ones.

I dnt think they should be lowered but if you are that concerned, maybe change the requirments to enter, im not sure how, but like maybe instead of ToA etc. should be moved to later in each game so newer characters cant go in UW and FoW as they please. I'm actually not that bothered if the prices drop, jsut means cheaper FoW armour and some of the FoW armour just doesnt look good enough for the price you are paying anyway lol.

Btw, when a title is earned how much does the favour go up by?

But people farm ecto for the money not the armour, ecto prices are the judge of the economy, it is best not at 15k or 100g but at 5k-7k. more 'middle class' people with 'middle class' money.

I'm all for decreasing the drop rate. Ectos are getting a bit too cheap atm, and they are kind of the main form of currency among most players. If it keeps lowering, trades will become more of a hassle for anything above 100k. I know someone will just say 'well, use more then' but really, thats only a temporary solution, eventually it would reach the point where there is actually a cap on how much something can be, simply because of low ecto prices, and the trade window cap.

Sheezzh I always find treads like this where people are "corncerned" about the economy. How much money do you have OP?

I believe that you are trying to protect what you have already. I been doing FOW and UW since the begining of the game and right now, FOW even in hard mode gives you CRAP Drops. I think I get better drops in NM.

Now asking to have no drops at all because you are afraid of the economy?

Man the economy has been in a stand still for a while now. The problem is not the shards, or the ectos but the Ambraces.

Those people who where able to get "away" with stacks of them. 100k + 15 ectos for one.

So please, stop sharing these ideas of "NO DROPS".

Ectos the same way, you get like 1 for every 5 runs. 2 if you are lucky. What rate drop do you prefer??? 1 every 10??

Uhm.. ectos and shards are at a steady price for a long time now, and good as it is atm.

I bet all that vote yes to the 'remove lootscaling' thread agree with that, XD.

If they added inscriptions there, making rare skins have reduced drops rates may work, but as things are right know, the drops ares are just fine. And the ecto drop rate is quite enough, considering how much people like those horrible chaos gloves.

No, I hope nothing changes, Because after i finish GWEN I am going to build my monk and my ele so i can farm fow/uw and get to experience it. If they nerf the drops and make it even harder then it sucks for those of us who have not been farming there for years. Leave the drops alone so its fair for all.
